Real Stories. Real Hope.
“After becoming a homeless mother I began to feel all hope was lost. They gave me a place to call home and an abundance of hope and have been my light in the darkness. We will be forever thankful.”
“I didn’t know where else to turn, I was trying to just survive another day. They were loving and accepting from the first call, then gave me the plan, the tools, and encouragement I needed to start thriving. This program saved me and my kids.”

Who We Are
Helping Hands is a Christ-centered nonprofit helping vulnerable mothers and children overcome homelessness, instability, trauma, and poverty. We provide more than temporary housing; we provide a safe place to stay, a supportive community, and a pathway toward healing, stability, and lasting hope through Christ.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be heard, supported, and given the opportunity to build a better future. In fact, that’s why our motto is Helping Build Better Lives.
Far too many mothers and children in our community feel trapped by homelessness, abuse, addiction, financial hardship, and hopelessness.
We believe the cycle can stop.
Helping Hands exists to rescue destinies through safe housing, transformational discipleship, practical support, and the hope of Christ, helping families rebuild their lives and move toward lasting independence.
Not just a landing pad, but a launching pad.
Why We Do What We Do
How We Do What We Do
Our program provides:
Safe transitional housing
Biblical discipleship and counseling
Life coaching and accountability
Parenting and financial guidance
Community support
Children and family programs
We walk alongside families every step of the journey because real transformation happens through relationships, encouragement, accountability, and grace.
We don’t just want families to survive today, we want them to thrive tomorrow. Read more about our model here.
What You Can Do to Help
You can help bring hope, healing, and a better future to vulnerable families.
Every gift, every prayer, and every hour you serve helps mothers and children move from surviving to thriving with a new and better life.
Because when generous people join God’s movement, lives are transformed.
Here are 4 ways you can help:
#1 DONATE
Your generosity provides safe housing, practical support, biblical discipleship and counseling, and the hope of Christ for vulnerable mothers and children in our community.
We know your resources are finite, but your gift can have eternal impact. Every donation helps families restore stability, rebuild their lives, and establish a bright future.
The numbers we share will impress you, but the stories will move you.
#2 BECOME A CHURCH PARTNER
Your church can help provide spiritual support, community, encouragement, hands-on help, and financial resources for the families we serve. Together, we can help vulnerable mothers and children experience the transforming love of Christ in tangible ways.
When the local church comes alongside struggling families, real life change can happen.
#3 VOLUNTEER
One of the greatest ways to serve is by investing in the next generation. Volunteers help pour into the children during our weekly evening program while moms participate in Bible study, discipleship, and community.
A caring adult, a listening ear, and a consistent presence can make a lasting difference in a child’s life, and will earn the sincere gratitude of single mothers.
#4 PRAY
We believe real transformation happens through the power of God’s grace.
Please pray for:
The mothers rebuilding their lives
The children finding stability and hope
Wisdom for our staff and volunteers as they serve families
God to move powerfully in every life and every story
We know the need is overwhelming, but God is still performing miracles every day. To receive ongoing prayer requests, sign up for our email here.
